Handling Equipment for Containers

The typical 20’ and 40’ standard containers of the conventional field can be moved with standard spreaders. We have attuned ourselves to the particular requirements of the nuclear technological field, as for example the special dimensions of special containers. So we have developed e.g. optimized spreaders for different types of Konrad ^® containers for the Eisenwerk Bassum m.b.H..

In addition to these we have developed and manufactured a broad range of special spreaders for the nuclear technological field. Examples are:

• The automatic spreader for Konrad^® containers of types III and IV with wireless remote control  for the Kernkraftwerk Wuergassen according to KTA 3902 Section 4.2. The spreader has an electrical control with self-sufficient power supply, an unlimited slewing range of 360° as well as lifting spindle drive for locking and unlocking mechanical locking bolts, optical lock position.
  indication and protection against unlocking under load at a lifting capacity of 20 t.
• The semiautomatic spreader for 20’ or 40’ ISO containers with locking via a wire rope system to the crane hook. Alternatively with tracer pins in order to avoid that the container may be lifted if the spreader is not properly locked.

Spreadings including the necessary chain suspension belong to our repertoire, too.

Konrad^® containers are moved with this rail system from the place of loading the working load to the concrete station. The containers are encased with 70 mm thick screening plates. Actuation takes place per chain conveyor over a distance of approx. 30 m. The transport carts are equipped with weighing cells in order to ascertain the weight and centre of gravity. The data are transmitted wireless from the transport carts to a mobile control station and are evaluated.
