Handling Equipment for Barrels

Very different types of drums, e.g. special developments, are employed as waste containers in the nuclear technological field. We have developed numerous special working appliances for trouble-free lifting, turning and moving. Thus we offer especially adjusted inner and outer rim drum grippers for the different fields of application. These may be actuated purely mechanically or with an electrical drive. Sensors and an electrical control lock position indication are integrated optionally. Depending on the equipment the drum grippers may be employed in the dry area or also under water. Besides the handling in vertical position, our business activities also include drum grippers for the transport in horizontal position. Specific handling facilities for tilting and erecting drums are our hydraulically operated, stationary drum tilting devices and the hydraulic forklift attachment by means of which drums may be tilted and stored in horizontal position. |

Inner Rim Drum Grippers
|
In the field of handling equipment for drums we have designed and manufactured numerous inner rim drum grippers for the very different drum types, as for example press drums without lids and drums with angle ring lids. Our repertoire comprises grabs of stainless steel and constructional steel for application in the dry area as well as under water. In this connection a sophisticated, fault-tolerant mechanics with guiding sheets, locking tracer pins and emergency unlocking just as electrical detectors with lock position remote indications and motor drive are employed, entirely according to the customer’s requirement. |

This horizontal drum gripper has an unlimited slewing range of 270°. It has electromechanical grab claws, an engine-driven slewing gear and a linear drive for adjustment of the center of gravity as well as an electrical control incl. remote control and control sensors. |

Tilting Device for Drums
|
|
|
This tilting device allows to turn over and to erect drums from the vertical into the horizontal position and vice versa. It has a mobile control unit with optical indication and is operated by an electro-hydraulic aggregate. |

Forklift Attachment
|
This attachment for forklift trucks enables the user to grab upright drums, to tilt them by 90° and to stack them afterwards. The hydraulic activation is connected to the hydraulics of the forklift truck. It was built for the Kernkraftwerk Wuergassen |
